Steps to be taken in CHP after the convention have been determined: First Şişli, then Samsun...

The Republican People's Party (CHP) is preparing to increase its actions demanding early elections following the extraordinary convention to be held on April 6. CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut announced his party's roadmap for the new period.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, Bulut emphasized that the convention is not just about the party's internal operations, stating, "The judiciary has been turned into a tool for the government to ensure its own continuity. There is no segment left that is not being threatened. Even Turkey's founding party has been targeted. Such pressures were only experienced during coup periods. They tried to intimidate our party with rumors that a trustee would be appointed. This convention will be a democratic response to all these threats."

''THE CONVENTION WILL BE A BEGINNING''

Emphasizing that the convention will be a platform where the CHP will demonstrate its unity and integrity, Bulut said that the process will continue not only in the hall in Ankara but also in the squares. He stated that Chairman Özgür Özel will meet with citizens in Ankara on the day of the convention and deliver important messages.

Stating that preparations for the post-convention period are already underway, Bulut expressed that campaigns centered around the political freedom of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and the demand for early elections will be expanded.

RALLIES EVERY WEDNESDAY AND EVERY WEEKEND

Bulut said, "We will manage a long-term process. We must keep the citizen's democratic reaction alive. Because what the government does must have a response in the eyes of the public. We held rallies in Saraçhane for days. We organized primary elections. Now, our rallies will increase after the convention."

The CHP's new rally schedule is as follows:

A rally will be held in a different district of Istanbul every Wednesday.

Mass meetings will be held in a different province every weekend.

Announcing that the first rally will be held this Wednesday in Istanbul's Şişli district and the weekend rally in Samsun, Bulut stated that these rallies aim to raise the pressure for early elections from the grassroots.

Also stating that the signature campaign will continue, Bulut used the expressions, "We will shoulder this process not only with politicians but together with the citizens. We will expand the struggle."
