Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who was arrested and sent to Silivri Prison on charges of 'threatening the President' after being targeted by Oktay Saral, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, sent a new letter through his lawyers.

Fatih Altaylı, who has been detained for 60 days, described his experiences in Silivri Prison. Stating, "I am very tired. I feel mentally very exhausted," Altaylı continued as follows:

"I do not remember experiencing such an absurd, such a surreal, or even utopian, meaningless, and illogical period in my 62 years of life. Yesterday, I felt as if I were living in an endless nightmare, a long bad dream accompanied by sleep paralysis that prevents us from getting out of bed."

In one part of his letter, Altaylı also touched upon the operations targeting the IMM. Altaylı, who had previously stated that the IMM indictment would be submitted to the court in September or October, noted that he was retracting this statement.

'THE INDICTMENT WILL NOT BE READY BY OCTOBER'

Altaylı noted the following in his letter:

"A few weeks ago, I said that I expected the indictment or indictments regarding the IMM case to be submitted to the court in September or October. I am retracting this statement. I have begun to find the possibility of an indictment being written for this case very low. They cannot write it."
