Suspicious death of Roketsan engineer: Internet search history revealed
New details have emerged regarding the death of 25-year-old Yusuf Serdar Yücel, who worked as a software engineer at Roketsan. While his father, a police officer, claims his son would not have committed suicide, suspicious queries in his internet search history have drawn attention.

Yusuf Serdar Yücel, a 25-year-old software engineer at Roketsan in Ankara, was found dead in his home in Yenimahalle on January 3.

Following investigations, it was stated that Yücel had committed suicide by drinking sodium nitrate.
However, the young engineer's father, Ahmet Yücel, argued in statements made after his son's suspicious death that the incident was 'an execution, not a suicide'.
"THEY WANTED A SECRET, HE DIDN'T GIVE IT, HE WAS EXECUTED"
Father Yücel, a retired police officer, stated: "I reviewed the case from start to finish with expert colleagues I worked with during my professional years. Our assessment is that he was incapacitated at gunpoint and the substance that caused his death was forced into his face using a bag. We are certain that he was murdered due to his work. They asked my child for a secret, and he did not give it. They began a perception operation by creating fake evidence."
INTERNET SEARCHES REVEALED
According to a report by Ömer Çetin from Sabah, teams from the Ankara Police Department's Homicide Bureau, who are continuing the investigation into the incident, discovered searches on Yücel's phone such as "how to commit suicide, how long does it take for a substance to kill".
Additionally, it was learned that the investigation at the scene revealed the door was locked from the inside and showed no signs of forced entry, the apartment was orderly, and no signs of assault or struggle were found on Yücel's body.
