Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum explained the details of the project called the “Housing Project of the Century,” in which 500,000 homes will be built across 81 provinces.
In a video shared on Minister Kurum’s social media account, all application conditions, income limits, and payment plans for the project were announced.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Anyone who has reached the age of 18 and has been a citizen of the Republic of Turkey for at least 10 years will be able to apply for the project.
Additionally, special quotas will be reserved for families of martyrs and veterans, individuals with disabilities, retirees, families with 3 or more children, and young people between the ages of 18 and 30.
INCOME REQUIREMENT ANNOUNCED
For households applying for the project in Istanbul, the monthly net income limit has been set at 145 thousand liras.
In Anatolian provinces, this limit will be 127 thousand liras.
THOSE WHO OWN PROPERTY CANNOT APPLY
Applicants must not have an independent residence registered in the title deed in their own name or their spouse’s name.
Furthermore, those who have previously signed a contract with TOKİ will not be able to participate in the new project.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT ALSO APPLIES
A residency requirement of at least 1 year will be sought in the provincial center for projects located in provincial centers, and in the relevant district for projects located in districts.
This requirement will be an important criterion regarding the population balance of the settlements within the scope of the project.
HOUSING TYPES AND SIZES ANNOUNCED
The new homes will be built in 1+1 and 2+1 types.
The project will include;
55-square-meter 1+1 apartments,
65-square-meter 2+1 homes,
80-square-meter spacious 2+1 apartments.
WHAT WILL THE PAYMENT PLAN BE LIKE?
A 10% down payment and a maturity option of up to 240 months will be provided for the apartments offered for sale.
Payment plans have been arranged to provide long-term convenience, especially for low-income citizens.
ANATOLIAN AND ISTANBUL PRICES DIFFER
According to the prices announced for the project;
In Anatolian provinces:
1+1 apartments will be 1 million 800 thousand TL,
65-square-meter 2+1 apartments will be 2 million 200 thousand TL,
80-square-meter 2+1 apartments will be 2 million 650 thousand TL.
In Istanbul:
1+1 homes will be 1 million 950 thousand TL,
65-square-meter 2+1s will be 2 million 450 thousand TL,
80-square-meter 2+1s will go on sale with a price of 2 million 950 thousand TL.
