It has been learned that Erbaş pays only 975 TL in monthly rent for his three-story, 450-square-meter villa.
Moreover, all fixed expenses of the villa, such as heating, electricity, water, and telephone, are covered by the public budget.
COMPARABLES ARE 110 THOUSAND TL
According to real estate agents in Bilkent and data from listing websites, the monthly rent for villas with similar features is around 110 thousand TL.
This figure is equivalent to approximately 9 pensions or 7 minimum wages. Citizens are expressing their reactions to Erbaş by saying, "Everything is provided for them; life is easy for them."
According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette dated December 26, 2024, the rental fees for public housing will be increased by 44% as of 2025. With this regulation, Erbaş's housing rent will rise to 1,404 TL.
As much as Erbaş's villa, where he resides for 975 TL rent, the details of President Erdoğan's residence, known as the "mini palace," have also drawn attention.
The 250-room palace features a 104-square-meter indoor pool, an 89-square-meter outdoor pool, a 153-square-meter kitchen, two tennis courts, and an emergency medical center. However, it is unknown whether Erdoğan pays rent for this residence.
