The first question the Imralı delegation will ask terrorist leader Öcalan has been revealed

A new threshold has been crossed in the second reconciliation process, architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and dubbed "Terror-Free Turkey" by the government, which is being conducted with the DEM Party and terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Following MHP leader Bahçeli's statement, "I will go to Imralı if necessary," the reconciliation commission in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) held a vote to visit Imralı. Before the commission meeting, the CHP decided not to participate in the visit to Imralı. The commission granted 'visa' for Imralı with 32 votes. In addition to the alliance partners AKP, MHP, and DEM, EMEP and TİP also voted in favor. While the DP, DSP, and HÜDAPAR voted against, the YRP did not participate in the vote.

The delegation that will meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan will include Hatay Deputy Hüseyin Yayman from the AKP, Istanbul Deputy Feti Yıldız from the MHP, and Kars Deputy Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit from the DEM Party.

It was stated that Bülent Kaya or Mehmet Emin Ekmen from the New Way Group, who abstained from voting in the commission, could also be part of the delegation. However, on Saturday, November 22, the New Way Group decided not to go to Imralı.

HOW WILL THE DELEGATION GO TO IMRALI?

All eyes are now on how and by what means the delegation will travel to Imralı. According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye, the delegation must submit an official application to the Ministry of Justice to visit Imralı. This application is expected to be made today. It has been learned that the Ministry of Justice will only play a role in completing the bureaucratic procedures for the Imralı visit.

ORGANIZATION UNDER MIT CONTROL

The entire process, from the delegation's transportation to technical arrangements during the meeting, will be planned by the MIT. It is stated that meticulous work is being carried out within the agency for every step, including the seating arrangement. Information suggests that access to Imralı for the visit, which is expected to take place on Monday or Tuesday, will be provided by helicopter.

HOW WILL THE MINUTES BE KEPT?

All contacts made by the parliamentary commission to date have been recorded, and these records have been shared with the public, with the exception of closed sessions. It is stated that if it is planned to keep minutes during the meeting with Öcalan, this will not be done by parliamentary stenographers, but directly by MIT personnel.

NO VIDEO OR PHOTO RELEASE

It is reported that audio, video, or photos will be taken during the meeting, but these will not be released to the public. AK Party sources state that they are taking into account the reaction surrounding the Imralı visit, and therefore, sharing photos is not on the agenda.

THE FIRST QUESTION TO BE POSED TO ÖCALAN

While it is stated that Öcalan is expected to present a general assessment regarding his call on February 27, it is reported that the meeting will proceed in a question-and-answer format afterward.

In particular, it is aimed to clarify the debates regarding whether the "laying down of arms and dissolution" call on February 27 covers the YPG during this meeting. One of the first questions the parliamentary delegation will pose to Öcalan will be whether this call includes the YPG.
