The Osmanoğlus share photos from Syria: They will make a request to Erdoğan

Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu and Orhan Osmanoğlu, descendants of Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, traveled to Syria after a long hiatus and shared notable messages.

During the visit, Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, who also visited the grave of Sultan Vahdettin in Damascus, stated that he would request President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to have the grave moved to Turkey.

Osmanoğlu announced his visit to Syria through a post on his social media account and drew attention with remarks that alluded to a "conquest."

Sharing a photo with the message "Aleppo is there, and the Ottoman descendants are there too...", these words from Osmanoğlu sparked comments on social media such as "The Ottomans are coming back."

In a photo taken at the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, the bodyguards carrying long-barreled weapons next to Osmanoğlu drew attention. During the visit, Osmanoğlu, who said, "We are ready to help our Syrian brothers," also expressed his desire to have a mosque built in Turkey bearing the name of Sultan Vahdettin.

The following statements were included in Osmanoğlu's social media post:

"We visited the grave of my grandfather, Sultan Vahîdüddîn Han, at the Süleymaniye Complex in Damascus, Syria. Anyone who wants to see the works left behind by the Ottoman Civilization can go to Damascus and see them. Furthermore, we are happy to announce that we have begun work on the Hamidiye Complex and the Sultan Vahîdüddîn Han Mosque in Ankara."
