The promise made by the AKP to Özlem Çerçioğlu has been revealed! 'His company...'

Journalist Fatih Altaylı recounted his meeting with CHP leader Özgür Özel while he was being held at Silivri Prison.

Sharing his meeting notes in the "YORUMLAYAMIYOR" series published on his own YouTube channel, Altaylı directed questions to Özel regarding the status of the commission.

Altaylı continued his remarks by saying, "I am asking Özgür Özel whether he has taken into account the possibility of the commission failing":

"IF THE COMMISSION FAILS, AN EARLY ELECTION WILL BE INEVITABLE"

"Özel makes it clear that he wants to make every effort to prevent this. It seems to me that he is giving a certain amount of credit to Bahçeli and İbrahim Kalın. However, ultimately they also have limited authority, and the commission may not yield the desired results. I insist on saying this, this is Özel's opinion: 'This situation would create great disappointment in society and could lead to an early election becoming inevitable.' I share this view as well."

Another question of mine is whether Özlem Çerçioğlu will switch to the AKP. She is switching, and she is trying to move the municipal council to the AKP as well. She pushed very hard in Nazilli and Koçarlı. The Nazilli mayor is not switching, but Ms. Özlem is. So why am I asking?

Isn't it very shameful? A shame that will not be forgotten for generations. She is explaining. Ms. Özlem has been under threat for a long time. Both politically, by using the judiciary, and economically.

Çerçioğlu's husband has a company. A large company listed on the stock exchange.

They were coming after this company. The company is in trouble. They are pressuring Ms. Özlem both through this company and through her own files. She received a promise that her husband's company would be saved if she joins the AK Party.

As for her, she says there are 20-23 files that have been hanging over her for years. They are all related to Aziz İhsan Aktaş. Unlike our other mayors, she has worked with Aziz İhsan Aktaş for a long time, and they have threatened her with these."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Allegations have surfaced that Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu will join the AKP today. While President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made an "Aydın" reference regarding this issue through the youth branches, CHP leader Özgür Özel confirmed the aforementioned allegations yesterday.

It is claimed that Çerçioğlu will join the party at the AKP's 24th anniversary event, along with the mayors of Sultanhisar, Söke, and Yenipazar, as well as some municipal council members.

In the 2024 local elections, the CHP won 56 seats, the AKP 19, the MHP 6, and the IYI Party 2 in the Aydın Metropolitan Municipal Council.

With Çerçioğlu's switch to the AKP, 16 members would need to resign for the municipal council to also join the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı).
