The secret behind Epstein's $100 million fortune revealed: His will has surfaced

The comprehensive Epstein files released by the United States Department of Justice at the end of January revealed the details of the will that Jeffrey Epstein, who left his mark on an era in the financial world, signed just two days before his death.
The released documents contain important information regarding the distribution of Epstein's approximately $100 million in assets and who inherited them.
Shortly before taking his own life in his New York prison cell, Epstein prepared a 32-page document containing his will and assets. According to this document, the will stipulated that the vast majority of his fortune be transferred to his partner at the time, Karyna Shuliak. It was noted that Karyna Shuliak received the largest share of Epstein's estate.
However, Shuliak was not the only person mentioned in the will. Epstein's personal attorney, Darren Indyke, who handled his legal and financial transactions for years, and his accountant, Richard Kahn, also received significant shares in the will. The documents recorded that $50 million would go to Indyke and $25 million to accountant Kahn.
Other names clearly visible in Epstein's inheritance were his brother, Mark Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was previously convicted of sex trafficking of minors.
Both individuals were slated to receive $10 million each. In total, it was understood that more than 40 people whose identities were not fully disclosed were included in the inheritance list, although some of these names were redacted in the court files.
It is stated that Epstein's estate has decreased significantly in recent years due to tax liabilities, legal expenses, and payments made to compensation funds. Although no share was directly allocated to victims in the will, it is known that the estate administrators subsequently established a compensation fund.

Epstein's final phone call, made one day before his death, had also remained a mystery. Newly revealed documents showed that this call was made to Karyna Shuliak.
Furthermore, the documents mentioned famous names such as Bill Gates and Prince Andrew, who were previously alleged to have had connections with Epstein.
Discussions regarding how Epstein acquired his fortune had also been on the agenda for a long time. According to a 2025 investigation by Forbes magazine, former Victoria's Secret CEO Les Wexner and private equity investor Leon Black accounted for approximately 75 percent of the source of Epstein's income. It was calculated that nearly $490 million in income was generated from the two individuals between 1999 and 2018.
It was determined that Epstein moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 1996 to take advantage of low taxes there and generated significant earnings through his companies in the region.
Additionally, Little Saint James Island, which he purchased in 1998 and is publicly known as "Epstein Island," was among the notable elements of his fortune.
