According to the index prepared by Henley & Partners, Singapore holds the title of the most powerful passport, while Japan ranks second. Turkey has risen to 46th place, providing visa-free access to 116 countries. So, how did other countries rank?

Henley & Partners has determined the world's most valuable passports with the 2025 Henley Passport Index, which uses data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Accordingly, Singapore has regained the title of the most powerful passport by providing visa-free access to 195 out of 227 destinations worldwide. Japan ranked second with 193 points.
HOW MANY COUNTRIES DOES THE TURKISH PASSPORT PROVIDE VISA-FREE ENTRY TO?
Turkey has risen 6 places in the index compared to the same period last year, becoming the 46th most powerful passport in the world. The Turkish passport provides visa-free entry to 116 countries. In the index, which contains 106 ranks, some countries share the same position. Turkey is in the same rank as Russia.
WHAT IS THE STATUS OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES?
France, Germany, Italy, and Spain have dropped two places in the ranking to settle in 3rd place. These countries are in the same position as Finland and South Korea, which lost one place in the last 12 months and provide visa-free access to 192 destinations.
A group consisting of seven European Union countries—Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden—shares 4th place with visa-free access to 191 destinations. Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom are in 5th place with visa-free access to 190 destinations.
THE ONLY ARAB STATE IN THE TOP 10
In the top 10 of the index, Australia ranks 6th, Canada ranks 7th, and the USA ranks 9th. Aside from the United Arab Emirates, which is the first and only Arab state to climb to the top of the rankings and place 10th, the top 10 is largely dominated by European countries.
The United Arab Emirates has been one of the fastest-rising countries in the index over the last 10 years, gaining access to 72 more destinations since 2015, and has placed 10th by providing visa-free access to 185 destinations worldwide.
In contrast, China also stands out as one of the biggest risers of the last 10 years. The country, which ranked 94th in 2015, rose to 60th in 2025, increasing the number of destinations it provides visa-free access to by 40 during this period.
Afghanistan ranked last with visa-free entry to 26 destinations.
