As 11 people, including family members, have been arrested as part of the Narin Güran murder investigation, new details continue to emerge.
The lifeless body of Narin, who was reported missing on August 21, was found 19 days later.
8-year-old Narin was laid to rest in Tavşantepe, where she was murdered, following an autopsy procedure.
According to information reported by TRT Haber, dozens of false tips were made during the 19-day search for Narin Güran. Calls were made claiming "the body is here," and attempts were made to disrupt the search efforts by planting children's slippers in various locations around Tavşantepe Neighborhood on different dates.
According to information obtained, some relatives and neighbors attempted to cast a shadow over the search efforts as if they had conspired to do so.
A single slipper belonging to Narin Güran was found one day after she went missing, on August 22.
Searches have intensified in the area where nomads were staying. Narin's cousin, Muhammed Kaya, who is currently under arrest for "aiding and abetting a criminal" and "destroying criminal evidence," is also among those who claimed to have found a slipper.
Muhammed Kaya said, "I saw the slipper on the Çarıklı road while I was driving to buy milk for my nieces and nephews. I didn't pay attention to it, thinking it belonged to nomads. On my way back, the slipper was still in the middle of the road. The slipper was 2.5 kilometers away from the village. I put the slipper in the car. When I arrived at the village, there was chaos, and in that confusion, I forgot to mention the slipper."
WERE THEY TRYING TO MISLEAD?
Narin's family stated that the slipper found did not belong to their daughter. On the 7th day of the search, another child's slipper was found this time.
The single slipper found on August 28 while search efforts were ongoing in the Ertutmaz stream with the help of heavy machinery did not belong to Narin either.
The slippers left here and there were a trap set to ensure Narin would not be found. On the day Narin went missing, she was wearing her red slippers when she went to her course.
According to the testimony of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to hiding the child's lifeless body in the stream, the slippers were in Salim Güran's car.
In his statement, Bahtiyar said, "Together with Salim Güran, we placed Narin's body, which was wrapped in a blanket and on the front passenger seat, onto the floor mats in the back of my vehicle. I took Narin's slippers from the front passenger floor mats and put them inside my vehicle."
MORE THAN 50 FAKE CALLS WERE MADE
While the search was ongoing, many of Narin's relatives removed the SIM cards from their phones and made fake reports to 112.
More than 50 phone calls were made claiming that Narin's lifeless body had been seen in different locations.
