Warning from AKOM: Storm and heavy rain to begin in Marmara on Thursday
AKOM has issued a warning for strong winds and heavy rainfall in the Marmara Region, announcing that temperatures will drop by 8-10 degrees.

The effects of cold and rainy weather have begun to show across all of Turkey.
AKOM also noted that strong winds and heavy rainfall are expected in the Marmara Region starting Thursday.
With strong lodos (southwesterly) and karayel (northwesterly) winds expected alongside heavy rainfall, temperatures are forecast to drop suddenly by 8-10 degrees.
TEMPERATURES WILL DROP
According to the warning issued by AKOM, low-pressure systems expected to arrive via the Central Mediterranean are forecast to affect the Marmara Region, particularly Istanbul, between Thursday, November 21, and Saturday, November 23.
During the frontal passages of the system, it is estimated that the wind will strengthen from the lodos and karayel directions, blowing as a storm and, with short-term gusts, as a strong storm (40-80 km/h), accompanied by heavy rainfall (20-45 kg/m2), while temperatures are expected to drop suddenly by 8-10°C.

It was stated that the wind, which is expected to strengthen starting from the early hours of Thursday, is forecast to continue affecting the region intermittently as a storm until Saturday noon, while the rainfall is expected to occur between 12:00-21:00 on Thursday and 08:00-20:00 on Saturday.
