The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced what the weather will be like as Turkey enters the new year. Icing, frost, haze, and fog are expected to be effective in the inner and eastern parts of the country. A warning has also been issued regarding the risk of avalanches.

According to the forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology, no precipitation is expected across Turkey on the first day of 2025.
The inner and eastern regions will start the new year with partly cloudy skies, while other regions will experience mostly clear and sunny skies.
ICING AND AVALANCHE WARNING
Icing, frost, haze, and fog will be particularly effective in the inner and eastern parts of the country.
There is a risk of avalanches in the high altitudes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea region and on the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia. Citizens have been urged to be cautious against these risks.
Air temperatures are expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees along the Black Sea coast and in the Inner Aegean, while remaining within seasonal norms in other regions.
The wind is expected to blow generally from northern directions, light to occasionally moderate in strength.
