When will the DEM Party delegation visit İmralı?

DEM Party Co-Vice Chair Tayip Temel made statements regarding the upcoming meetings with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Regarding the meetings on İmralı Island, Temel stated, "As always, it is expected that three members of our İmralı delegation will visit the island. This visit will take place as soon as weather conditions permit."

Temel added, "Contacts are ongoing. There are proposals that Mr. Öcalan is waiting for a response to and wishes to see implemented."

"ÖCALAN'S MESSAGES ARE BEING DISTORTED"

Temel stated that the messages from the PKK leader are being misrepresented. "The claim that the SDF or Rojava did not listen if Öcalan gave any message is false and a lie," Temel said, noting that Öcalan's messages regarding the need to avoid conflict were reflected in the March 10 consensus.

Tayip Temel stated that following the events in Aleppo, a psychology of war and conflict has spread across Turkey, adding, "We have seen the resurgence of racist, monist, and denialist language."

Reminding that PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has presented proposals to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the SDF, Barzani, and Talabani, Temel said that messages have been conveyed to all actors involved in the process. Temel stated, "In every step of this process, proposals and messages are being presented for all parties."
