The mandatory use of winter tires for commercial vehicles will begin as of December 1.
As the date approaches, activity has begun at tire shops, and tire replacement prices have started to take shape.
Activity has picked up at auto tire shops. The winter tire regulation will begin across Turkey on December 1 and will continue until April 1, 2025.
Ahead of the mandatory winter tire application starting on December 1, drivers have begun creating crowds at tire shops to prepare their vehicles for winter conditions.
2025 WINTER TIRE PRICES
The prices of the mandatory winter tires also vary according to their size.
Accordingly;
13-14 inch rims 600 TL
15-16 inch rims 750 TL
17 inch rims 850 TL
18 inch rims 950 TL
19 inch rims 1100 TL
20-21 inch rims 1250 TL
For those who want to buy new tires, tire prices for passenger vehicles vary depending on quality, starting from 1500 liras and going up to 11 thousand liras depending on the quality of the tire and the rim size.
Tire hotel service will be applied at the same level as the replacement fee.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has set the date for the mandatory installation of winter tires on vehicles.
As of 2024, an administrative fine of 4 thousand 69 TL will be imposed on commercial vehicle operators who do not install winter tires. However, there is no legal obligation for private vehicles.
The use of winter tires is frequently recommended for safe driving.
The fine for not installing winter tires will be updated as of January 1, 2025, within the framework of the revaluation rate.
