The funeral of 9-year-old Galatasaray fan Yiğit Kurt, who lost his life in a traffic accident, was held in the Bodrum district.

Kurt’s funeral ceremony was held at the Bitez Gülsevim Rüştü Kaynak Mosque.

Little Yiğit's mother and father could not hold back their tears in front of their son's coffin, which was draped in a Galatasaray flag.

Following the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer, Yiğit Kurt was laid to rest in the Bitez Cemetery.

The ceremony was attended by his father Serkan Kurt, his mother Pınar Kurt, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Bodrum District Youth and Sports Manager Oktay Dumruk, Galatasaray Sports Club Board Member İbrahim Hatipoğlu, Bodrum FK Vice President Selahattin Polat, Bodrum FK Head Coach Volkan Demirel, Bodrum FK players, his family, loved ones, and numerous Galatasaray fans.

9-year-old Galatasaray fan Yiğit Kurt, who was involved in a traffic accident in the Susurluk district of Balıkesir on November 7 while traveling to Istanbul with his father to watch the Galatasaray-Tottenham match in the UEFA Europa League, had been declared brain dead. His family had donated Kurt's organs.
