Gambling operation in Mersin: 17 people fined 85 thousand TL

In Mersin, 17 individuals caught gambling red-handed by gendarmerie teams were issued administrative fines totaling 85 thousand TL.

According to the information received, teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command determined that gambling was being conducted via bingo at a coffeehouse in the Tarsus district. Following this, the teams carried out an operation at the address.

During the operation, 17 individuals were caught red-handed while gambling. Each individual caught gambling was issued an administrative fine of 5 thousand TL, totaling 85 thousand TL.

It was reported that the necessary judicial proceedings have been initiated against the individuals and the business owner.
