According to the report by İsmail Arı from BirGün; In this context, months before the March 31, 2019 local elections, a house was sold to Tülay Makbule Garipoğlu, the mother of Münevver Karabulut's murderer Cem Garipoğlu, on September 18, 2018, in the Güzeltepe stage of the KİPTAŞ 5th Levent project. A discount of 20.12 percent was applied to the house, which was valued at 1 million 622 thousand TL, for Garipoğlu. Thanks to this discount, Garipoğlu purchased the apartment, which had a list price of 1 million 622 thousand TL, for 1 million 295 thousand TL.

Garipoğlu's apartment is located in the same block as the apartment of Hatice Nur Yerlikaya, the wife of Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.
