Gendarmerie makes swift arrest: Suspect who swam from Greek islands to Turkey was wanted for terrorism
In the Kuşadası district of Aydın, a suspect who illegally entered Turkey by swimming from the Greek island of Samos and was wanted for spreading terrorist organization propaganda was apprehended by gendarmerie teams.

As part of an operation conducted by the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Counter-Terrorism Branch and the Kuşadası District Gendarmerie Command, a suspect identified as B.D. (24) was apprehended as he came ashore in the Güzelçamlı neighborhood. The suspect had illegally entered Turkey by swimming from the Greek island of Samos and was wanted on charges of 'spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization (PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG-YDG-H)' and 'knowingly purchasing goods for commercial purposes that are the subject of crimes defined in the first through fourth paragraphs, without participating in the commission of those acts.'
B.D. was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
