Get-well-soon letter from Özgür Özel to Nechirvan Barzani

CHP Chairman Özel sent a get-well-soon letter to the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, following an attack on his residence.

Özel stated that he learned of the attack on Barzani's residence in Duhok with "sadness and concern," and expressed that he strongly condemns the attack.

Özel included the following statements in his letter:

"Mr. President, I learned with great sadness and concern about the attack on your residence in Duhok the other day.

I strongly condemn this attack; I extend my get-well-soon wishes to you, your esteemed family members, and the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It is clear that such attacks target regional stability.

Our party, which stands against all forms of violence and adopts dialogue as a principle, will continue to stand in solidarity to ensure lasting peace in the region.

On this occasion, I hope that similar incidents will not happen again, and I wish for security, peace, and stability to be established in our region as soon as possible."
