'Gezi Park' security measures in Taksim

Intensive security measures have been taken in and around Taksim Gezi Park due to the anniversary of the Gezi Park protests.

While the Republic Monument and its surroundings were closed off with iron barriers, metro services to the square were also suspended as of 15:00.

On the other hand, moments when some children selling water passed under the iron barriers were captured on camera.
