Good news from Dilara, who was rescued from the rubble: She is responding to questions
It has been learned that 18-year-old Dilara Bilir, who was rescued from the rubble of a collapsed building in the Gebze district of Kocaeli and taken to the hospital for treatment, is in good general condition, is communicating with doctors, and is able to respond to questions.

The building, which had a pharmacy on the ground floor, collapsed for an unknown reason at around 07:00 on Issıkgöl Street in the Mevlana neighborhood. The 5-member Bilir family, who were tenants in the building, remained under the rubble.
As part of the search and rescue efforts carried out with the participation of a total of 627 personnel, the lifeless bodies of Muhammed Emir (12) and Nisa (14) were reached at around 14:00. The family's eldest daughter, Dilara (18), was rescued alive from the rubble at around 15:50.
While the operation by teams to reach the father, Levent (44), and mother, Emine Bilir (37), who remain under the rubble, continues, it has been reported that Dilara Bilir, who is being treated at Gebze Fatih State Hospital, is in good general condition, is talking to doctors, and is able to respond to the questions they ask.

The Kocaeli Governor's Office shared the latest status regarding the building collapse that occurred in the Gebze district. In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that the lifeless bodies of 2 of the 5 people who remained under the rubble were reached, and one person was rescued alive. The statement noted that search and rescue efforts for the two people under the rubble are continuing.
The statement also reported that Deputy Minister of Interior Mehmet Aktaş, Governor İlhami Aktaş, AK Party Kocaeli Deputy Prof. Dr. Sadettin Hülagü, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, Provincial Health Director Dr. Yüksel Pehlevan, and AK Party Kocaeli Provincial Chairman Şahin Talus visited Dilara Bilir at Gebze Fatih State Hospital and conveyed their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
