Governor's Office responds to CHP's 'Beyazıt Rally' left in the dark: No notification was made

Following the fact that the rally area at Beyazıt Square, where the CHP was scheduled to hold a rally yesterday as part of its "Defending the National Will" rallies, was left in the dark, the party claimed that vehicles carrying lighting equipment were not allowed into the rally area.

Speaking to tv100, Governor's Office sources noted that there is a requirement to notify authorities of vehicles to be admitted to the area, stating that no notification was made for the vehicle carrying the lighting equipment.

Stating that the license plates of vehicles entering the square must be reported in advance, Governor's Office sources said that this notification was not made by the CHP.

DENIAL FROM ALİ MAHİR BAŞARIR

Following the statement from the Governor's Office sources, a denial came from CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır.

Başarır responded by saying, "I personally could not get the lighting and generator vehicle into the area for 4 hours. I finally got into the vehicle and entered the area. The problem was not a power outage. The lighting equipment and generators were not allowed into the area. It is not true that we did not report the vehicle license plate. Because the vehicle arrived at the area 5 hours ago."
