Governor's Office responds to food ration allegations at NATO Summit

The Ankara Governor's Office issued a statement regarding allegations on social media concerning the food rations distributed to personnel serving during the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

The Governor's Office announced that 4 personnel who reported feeling unwell after consuming the rations distributed on July 5, 2026, were referred to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The statement indicated that no signs of foodborne poisoning were found as a result of the examinations, tests, and blood work performed on the personnel. The Governor's Office reported that the general health status of the personnel was determined to be good.

It was stated that food safety and hygiene inspections of the rations were carried out under the coordination of the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate from the preparation process onwards.

Following the consumption of the rations distributed to our personnel on duty on 05.07.2026, 4 personnel who reported feeling unwell were referred to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

As a result of the examinations, tests, and blood work performed, no signs of foodborne poisoning were found in our personnel; it was determined that their general health status is good.
