The Iğdır Governor's Office announced that due to adverse weather conditions, education in primary and secondary schools in the villages of Alibeyköy, Mezra, Aliköçek, Zor (Karaçomak), Kervansaray, Pınarbaşı, Kızılkule, Taşlıca, and Gülpınar, which are connected to the city center, has been suspended for one day on Monday, December 18, 2023.

In Ağrı, snowfall that intensified in the evening hours also negatively affected life in the districts.
In a written statement issued by the Doğubayazıt District Directorate of National Education, it was reported that village roads are closed due to heavy snowfall and blizzards.
The statement indicated that education in village schools and for students using busing services in the district has been suspended for Monday, December 18, 2023.
The Diyadin District Governorate also announced that due to snowfall, education has been suspended for one day for students using busing services and in the villages of Hacıhalit, Mutlu, Sürmelikoç, Taşkesen, and Yukarıdalören.
