Governor's Office announces: Traffic ban for motorcycle couriers
Due to adverse weather conditions in Çanakkale, the use of motorcycles, scooters, electric scooters, and motorcycle courier services has been prohibited as a precautionary measure from 03:00 on Sunday, January 7, until 09:00 on Monday, January 8.

According to the warning issued by the Meteorology Department, rain is expected to be effective in Çanakkale starting from tonight.
The Çanakkale Governor's Office has imposed a ban on the use of motorcycles, scooters, electric scooters, and motorcycle courier services throughout the province due to adverse weather conditions.
In the statement made by the Çanakkale Governor's Office, it was stated, "Due to the adverse weather conditions expected throughout the province of Çanakkale, the use of motorcycles, scooters, electric scooters, and motorcycle courier services is prohibited as a precautionary measure starting from 03:00 on Sunday, January 7, 2024, until 09:00 on Monday, January 8, 2024."

In another statement made by the Çanakkale Governor's Office, it was noted, "A meteorological warning has been issued by the 2nd Regional Directorate of Meteorology regarding 'Expected Thunderstorms Throughout the Province of Çanakkale,' which will begin at 03:00 on Sunday, January 7, 2024, and continue until 09:00 on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Heavy rainfall (21-50kg/m²) is expected throughout the province of Çanakkale. Citizens should be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences such as flash floods, inundation, overflowing, lightning, hail, sudden strong winds, short-term storms, and disruptions in transportation.
While necessary measures are being taken by our public institutions and organizations, it is kindly requested that our citizens remain cautious for the safety of their lives and property," the statement concluded.
