WHICH METRO LINES HAVE BEEN CLOSED IN ISTANBUL

The measures taken were conveyed in the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office. The statement regarding these measures is as follows:

''In order to maintain public order throughout the province and prevent potential provocative actions, all kinds of meetings, demonstrations, and press statements have been banned for 4 days between March 19 and 23 by our Governor's Office.

In accordance with this decision, taken within the framework of Article 11/C of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 and Article 15/H of the Law on Police Duties and Powers No. 2559, various precautionary measures will be implemented. Within the scope of these decisions;

- As of 06.00 on March 19, 2025; the Emniyet-Fatih Station of the M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport and M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı metro lines operated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Metro A.Ş. has been cancelled (including all passenger entry and exit points) and closed to service,

- The decision has been made to cancel the Taksim Station of the M2 Yenikapı-Seyrantepe-Hacıosman metro line (including all entry and exit points) and close it to service.''

'On the other hand, it has been decided to close the streets and avenues listed below to vehicle traffic and to use the designated alternative routes. ROADS TO BE CLOSED AS OF 06.00 ON 19.03.2025
