According to reports in the Greek Cypriot press, a handmade bomb exploded near the Israeli Embassy building in the GCA.

Following a call from the police officers providing security for the embassy, police teams, firefighters, and ambulances were dispatched to the area.

The police, who took one person into custody as a result of their investigation, are searching for 3 other individuals identified as being involved in the incident. Some websites broadcasting from the GCA claimed that 4 people are in custody regarding the incident and that 3 or 4 more people are being sought.
