Grim picture in the Ukraine-Russia war: Civilian death toll reaches 11,700

According to a report released by the United Nations (UN), the number of civilians killed in the Ukraine-Russia war has reached 11,700 so far.

The UN Security Council held a session regarding Russia's attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. At this meeting, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Msuya emphasized that the humanitarian situation in Ukraine is rapidly deteriorating.

Msuya's statements detailed the impact of the conflict on civilians and the damage caused to infrastructure, indicating that the international community needs to pay more attention to this crisis and focus on seeking solutions.

Touching upon the unbearable suffering of civilians, Msuya stated that civilian deaths are increasing rapidly and that a total of 11,700 civilians have lost their lives and 24,600 civilians have been injured so far.
