Gross negligence: Balcony of heavily damaged building collapses in Hatay

Two people have died after being trapped under the collapsed balcony of a heavily damaged 2-story building in Hatay.

The incident occurred in the Kuzuculu neighborhood of the Dörtyol district. A collapse occurred on the balcony of a 2-story detached house that had sustained heavy damage as a result of the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.

During the collapse, 2 people who were under the balcony remained trapped in the rubble. The individuals were rescued by Dörtyol fire department teams and handed over to medical personnel. The injured individuals lost their lives in the ambulance while being transported to the hospital following intervention at the scene.
