In the meeting of the CHP High Disciplinary Board on Friday, September 26, it was decided that Gürsel Tekin, Savaş Aras, Erkan Narsap, Zeki Şen, Levent Çelik, and Barış Yarkadaş would be permanently expelled from the party.

The six individuals were expelled in accordance with the provision in Article 68/1-b of the Party Charter regarding "engaging in attitudes and behaviors incompatible with the duties, responsibilities, and membership held within the party."

Gürsel Tekin made a statement on his social media account following the expulsion decision issued against him.

Tekin used the following expressions:

Today it is Gürsel Tekin, Berhan Şimşek, Barış Yarkadaş… Tomorrow it will be other fellow travelers.

It is easy to remain silent, especially if your turn has not yet come. But let us not forget: Those who do not raise their voices today will not have their voices heard tomorrow.

This issue is not about individuals, but about the memory, labor, and conscience of our party. It is the duty of everyone who has given their heart to this party to grow solidarity and break the silence.

Remaining silent in the face of a management approach that consumes the children of this party is just as heavy as the decision to expel them.

Today is not the time to remain silent; it is the time to grow solidarity.
