Hacı Bektaş Veli, symbol of unity and solidarity, commemorated in Istanbul

Hacı Bektaş Veli, who lit the beacon of tolerance, unity, and love, continues to be a source of inspiration for the common values of humanity. Hacı Bektaş Veli, one of the greatest figures who shaped our cultural history, is being commemorated with the third Serçeşme Hünkâr Hacı Bektaş Veli Festival, organized this year by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Hacı Bektaşi Veli, who brought together every difference on the basis of love and tolerance without fragmenting the rich cultural mosaic of Anatolia, the cradle of civilizations, and kneaded it with mysticism, not only pioneered the birth of Anatolian Alevism and Bektashism but also continues to guide today's people with the words and works he left as a legacy to humanity.

We all deeply feel the social tension created by political polarization, economic inequality, security concerns, and the cultural identity problems we experience with globalization. In today's world, where violence, betrayal, and divisive emotions are clustering, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is once again reminding us of Hacı Bektaşi Veli's call, "Come, dear souls, let us be one, let us be great, let us be alive," with the Serçeşme Hünkâr Hacı Bektaş Veli Festival.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continues to emphasize the importance of living in brotherhood by maintaining the Serçeşme Hünkâr Hacı Bektaş Veli Festival.

As in previous years, well-known names and music groups will take the stage at the festival, which will be held this year at the Maltepe Event Area. In addition to concerts, panels, semah performances, workshops, and the 'Aşk-ı Hakikat' (Love of Truth) exhibition, 20 publishing houses will also take part in the area with their stands for the first time this year.
