Hakan Fidan makes statement on 'ceasefire in Gaza'
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, where he traveled for an official visit. Speaking at a joint press conference, Fidan said, "We are pleased that a ceasefire has been reached. We will follow up to ensure the ceasefire becomes permanent."

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke at a joint press conference held after his meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the ministry in Baku, where he traveled as part of a working visit.
Stating that regional and international issues were also discussed during the meeting, Fidan said, "My dear brother informed us about the point reached in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process. We understand Azerbaijan's legitimate concerns. The agreement announced on January 16 regarding the start of work by the Azerbaijan and Armenia border delimitation commissions is an important step. The environment of peace and stability to be established in the South Caucasus is in everyone's interest."
Evaluating the ceasefire decision in the Gaza Strip, Fidan said, "From now on, we will follow up on the implementation of all stages of the agreement, the permanent establishment of the ceasefire, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza."
