Haluk Levent calls on Akın Gürlek to 'publish the records' and addresses Bahçeli

Ahbap Association founder Haluk Levent responded to the allegations made by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek during a live broadcast via his social media account. Stating that Gürlek is misleading the public, Levent addressed MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, requesting that he meet with Minister Gürlek.

In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, following findings that the Ahbap Association, founded by artist Haluk Levent, had carried out irregular transactions with the donations it collected, association executives, including Haluk Levent, were arrested and sent to prison.

Claiming that Minister Gürlek passed judgment in the public eye before a court was even established while the investigations against him were ongoing, Levent stated, "The Minister has passed judgment on me and thrown me before the public before I have even appeared in court. The Minister, who should be the Minister of Justice for everyone, has made misleading statements to the public about a file that is still under investigation, as if all evidence had been collected and my guilt had been proven."

Rejecting Minister Gürlek's statement that "245 million dollars were transferred to personal accounts," Levent called on the Ministry of Justice with the following words:

"Since you have the data, publish all the records and explanations of this 245 million dollars on the official website of the Ministry of Justice immediately so the public can see. If you publish them, you will see that there is nothing other than 80 million TL from the association to Yeliz Kaya (in exchange for 20 3+1 apartments), 50 million TL for gold purchases, and a plot of land held as collateral."

In his statement, Levent also addressed MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, asking him to intervene to prove the truth of his claim.

"Friends,

As I said, it happened, and they loaded two more separate crimes onto me in 2 days. First, they included me in the Şile Municipality file where my younger brother Berkant does business. It will emerge that I have no involvement whatsoever. My brother has been an organizer for 30 years. We have had no money exchange other than debts and receivables. MASAK reports will confirm this.

Second, they added me to an illegal betting file; I am watching it on TV. I am a national man; I have not made anyone money other than Demirören. This will also be seen one by one.

After my notes today, I am waiting to be included in the prostitution, drugs, PKK, FETÖ, etc. files as soon as possible.

Those who are creditors to me have applied to the prosecutor's offices; I have learned their names. It was fine when they were giving money and taking double back. Everything is clear from the account movements. Soon, who these loan sharks are and how much money they gave and took will be reported to the prosecutor's office.

As for the promissory notes and checks, it is not at all as stated. I am leaving this matter to the court.

3- You said on live broadcast that my brother Berkant is my stepbrother. Berkant is my own brother, the youngest of 9 siblings. Again, why are you making these untrue statements while looking into people's eyes?

4- Minister, you said I have 45 companies. Why do you feel the need to say this even though you know that I have no relationship with any company other than Risus Organization and the closed HL Insurance?

5- Minister, you said, '1 billion - 5 billion TL is transferred instantly, daily from the Ahbap Association, and then this money is somehow taken by Haluk Levent.' You said it while looking into the eyes of the Turkish nation. You have the reports, prove this right now. I will accept all accusations on my honor and dignity.

There is nothing other than 80 million TL (I will receive 20 3+1 apartments in return, it is available in the decision book), 50 million in gold purchases, and a land collateral in my money traffic with the Ahbap Association through Yeliz Kaya. How can you tell the lie that I transferred 1 billion - 5 billion TL in one day on TRT, even though you know this?

You are openly misleading the public, and as a Minister of Justice at that. You are supposedly the Minister of Justice for all of us. You told 5 lies in 5 points. If you say it is not a lie, prove it. Put it on the screens with the evidence right now.

I am addressing Mr. Devlet Bahçeli once again. Could you please request on behalf of the Turkish nation that the Minister prove the truth of what he said right now?

If I had transferred all the donations coming to the association to my personal accounts; then with what money were the 196 houses in Nurdağı, 208 houses in Battalgazi, 56 houses in Arapgir, totaling 460 steel construction houses, 16 prefabricated schools, 15 steel construction schools, 1 steel construction youth center in Defne, 1 steel construction nursery in Altınözü, and the surf center in Hatay Samandağ built in the earthquake zone?

With what money were 17,533 tents, 5,150 containers, 1,550,080 boxes of water, over 750 thousand hot meals (3 meals a day), 415 tons of delicatessen products, 62 tons of fresh meat (lamb, beef, chicken), and 23 million TL worth of canned food purchased? These are just the big items; I am not even counting the other aid we provided worth millions of liras, logistics, and shipping expenses...

Why was a district governor or governor giving us a delivery-receipt document every week? Why were we coming together at openings and protocols?
