Haluk Levent, the president of the humanitarian organization Ahbap and a famous musician, participated as a speaker at the 2024 Civil Society Conference held in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, which was attended by numerous non-governmental organizations from around the world and many high-level government representatives.

In his speech, Levent condemned Israel's brutal actions in Gaza and addressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

''MORE THAN 600 THOUSAND CHILDREN IN GAZA...''

Levent said, "I bring you greetings from my beautiful country, Turkey. Today, I am here among you not only as a rock artist but also as the founding president of the aid organization Ahbap. I came here to share some of our projects with you and to offer some proposals, but this morning, I woke up to the news that more than 600 thousand children in Gaza are under great threat. As the Ahbap organization, we tried to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, but we faced many obstacles. Furthermore, as you know, more than a hundred UN staff members have lost their lives there."

Levent added, "I would also like to address a question to Prime Minister Netanyahu here. How can you justify the killing of more than ten thousand children? For this reason, I condemn the Israeli government for its brutal actions and the humanitarian crisis that has been created. I also want to express my support for the students in the US and France who are protesting the war in Gaza, as well as the anti-war Jewish community."
