Hamas Political Bureau member Khalil al-Hayya said that security and stability cannot be achieved in the region unless the Palestinian people fully obtain their rights.
Al-Hayya released a video message on the first anniversary of the genocidal war Israel is waging in the Gaza Strip.
Stating that Israel is the "center of evil and destruction" in the Middle East, al-Hayya said, "Security and stability cannot be achieved in the region unless the Palestinian people fully obtain their rights. The occupation is the source of evil and instability."
Al-Hayya stated, "We want to liberate our lands and holy sites, establish our independent state with full sovereignty and Jerusalem as its capital, ensure the return of refugees to their homeland, and achieve the right to self-determination."
Al-Hayya added, "Our people and the Palestinian cause are being targeted by the enemy (Israel). Our national unity, based on the option of resistance, is the only path to liberation."
