Handmade bomb attack on police in Cizre!
In the Cizre district of Şırnak, 2 individuals approached the Cudi Neighborhood Headman's office and threw an explosive device supported by lighter gas at police officers on duty. The explosive detonated, but there were no deaths or injuries in the incident.

The explosion was captured on Urban Security Management System (KGYS) cameras. In the footage, citizens were also seen passing by. In the investigation launched into the incident, 2 suspects identified as having thrown the explosive device were taken into custody. The suspects' processing at the police station is ongoing.
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE ISSUED A STATEMENT
In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that the explosive device was supported by lighter gas, and it was said, "As a result of the multi-faceted investigation and camera examinations conducted regarding the throwing of an explosive device at our Riot Police and Special Operations Branch Directorate officers in front of the Cudi Neighborhood Headman's office in the Cizre district on 24.10.2024 at around 21.00, it was understood that the thrown materials were flammable substances prepared inside a water bottle connected to a lighter refill canister and a soft drink bottle connected to a deodorant can, and all suspects identified as having carried out the incident were caught and taken into custody; there was no loss of life or property as a result of the incident. The investigation into the matter continues.".
