AKP Ankara MP and Head of the Turkish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Tuğrul Türkeş, used harsh language toward his former party and their partner in the People's Alliance, the MHP.

Responding to questions from İsmail Saymaz on the program "Haber Masası" hosted by Buket Güler on Halk TV, Türkeş reacted to the MHP after many years.

'THEY EXPELLED ME FROM THE MHP UNLAWFULLY'

Explaining the process of his transition from the MHP to the AKP in 2015, Türkeş said, "They expelled me from the MHP unlawfully because I joined the election government, which was a constitutional duty in 2015. After the election, when I took a place in the AK Party, they insulted me. Why does the activity of a person they expelled and did not want in their party in another party concern them so much? It is impossible to understand why it bothers them so much."

'THEY HAVE ALL BEEN FEEDING OFF MY SURNAME FOR 30 YEARS'

Türkeş stated the following:

"Why should my surname bother them? They make a living off of it. They have all been feeding off my surname for 30 years. Then they attack Türkeş's children in the Türkgün newspaper. They express at every opportunity that Türkeş, whose legacy they have been consuming for 30 years, could not raise his own children. It is impossible for me to accept this, but even if we accepted it as true for a moment, how do they claim that Türkeş, who could not raise the child in his own home, turned the shepherd on the mountain into a man? Did Türkeş teach you gangsterism?"
