CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s secret meeting with DEVA Party district chairs in Istanbul has become a major topic on the political agenda.
It was alleged that in exchange for some of the DEVA Party district chairs meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu and joining the CHP, DEVA Party Esenyurt District Chair Halis Kahriman would be offered a mayoral candidacy.
DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan reacted to this move by Kılıçdaroğlu with the words, “We are saddened and surprised.” CHP Chair candidate Özgür Özel had also criticized Kılıçdaroğlu.
