A photo shared on social media claimed that the title 'Veteran Commander-in-Chief' appeared in the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM), affiliated with the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, issued a statement regarding the post, which spread rapidly.

The DMM denied the claims that 'President Erdoğan's title has been changed to Veteran Commander-in-Chief.'

The statement from the DMM is as follows:

"The claim that certain images shared by propaganda accounts of the FETÖ terrorist organization belong to official documents bearing the signature of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is not true.

It has been determined that the image in question was circulated on social media via propaganda accounts of the FETÖ terrorist organization and was also circulated in previous years.

Do not give credence to baseless claims."
