Her father, Ahmet Torun, stated that his daughter, who was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Giresun Training and Research Hospital, had been fighting for her life for approximately 70 hours, but that she has now been declared brain dead. Torun said, "We have agreed to donate her viable organs to patients waiting for transplants. We will share funeral information separately. May our friends be well."
In the accident that occurred on the night of March 28 on the Görele Bridge, a car with license plate 28 RE 752, driven by A.H., struck T.T. as she was attempting to cross to the opposite side, causing her injuries. Following police procedures, A.H. was brought before the Görele Courthouse, where he was arrested by the court and sent to Espiye Prison.
