In the Güney district of Denizli, a son who ambushed his parents as they were returning from the fields shot both his mother and father with a single bullet. The perpetrator, who reported the murder himself, has been arrested and sent to prison; his mother died, and his father has been intubated.

Yaşar Akdağlı and his wife Cennet Akdağlı (55), who resided in the Kargılık Neighborhood of Denizli's Güney district, set off on their motorcycle with a sidecar to return to their home in the rural neighborhood after shopping in the center of the Güney district. The couple was ambushed 100 meters from their home and fired upon once with a shotgun.
The slug first struck Cennet Akdağlı, who was sitting as a passenger on the back of the motorcycle, entering her waist area, and then shattered Yaşar Akdağlı's spine. Cennet Akdağlı, whose internal organs were destroyed by the bullet that entered through her waist, lost her life at the scene.
Yaşar Akdağlı, who was seriously injured, was transferred to Pamukkale University Hospital after receiving initial medical intervention.
GENDARMERIE FOUND THE KILLER SON LIKE A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK
Upon the reporting of the incident, the Denizli Provincial Gendarmerie Command intervened with numerous teams, primarily JASAT, KOM, Cyber Crimes, and the Güney District Gendarmerie Command. Launching an extensive operation to apprehend the suspect, the gendarmerie teams found the perpetrator of the murder through a detailed investigation, described as finding a needle in a haystack. Conducting an investigation at the scene, the gendarmerie teams detained the son who had reported the murder, Hakan Akdağlı, his other son, and two other suspects believed to be connected to the incident.
HE SET THE AMBUSH, THEN REPORTED THE MURDER
The teams conducting the interrogation regarding the murder focused on 23-year-old Hakan Akdağlı, who gave contradictory statements; as a result of the interview, the suspect confessed to his crime.
In his initial statement, the suspect son said, “My father was tormenting and beating me. My intention was to scare them. I waited for their return, hid, and fired at them from behind. I hid the weapon, then my father called, and I ran to his side. I helped and called an ambulance,” and was referred to the Buldan Courthouse after his interrogation at the gendarmerie.
The son, who was referred to judicial authorities on charges of “premeditated murder,” was brought before the court following his interrogation by the prosecutor's office. The murder suspect son was arrested and sent to prison.
