The incident took place at a beauty salon located in the Kale neighborhood. According to the information obtained, N.A., who works as a barber, came to the center to discuss a matter regarding their three-year-old child with his ex-wife, E.D., who is the owner of the business. The meeting quickly turned into a heated argument.
As the argument escalated, N.A. attacked his ex-wife, E.D. During the scuffle, E.D. was injured due to the blows she received, and it was noted that N.A. also sustained injuries to his hands. The windows of the business were also broken during the incident.
Upon the notification of bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Both parties were taken to a hospital in İlkadım for treatment.
SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Following his treatment, N.A. was taken into custody by teams from the İlkadım District Police Department's Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women Bureau. N.A., whose procedures at the police station were completed and who was referred to the courthouse with his arms bandaged, is currently undergoing legal proceedings. E.D.'s treatment at the hospital is ongoing.
The incident drew significant reaction in the district, and authorities called on all citizens to be sensitive regarding domestic violence.
