AKP Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci's remarks regarding trade with Israel have become a major topic of discussion.

"We strongly condemn the massacre, of course, but on the other hand, Israel is a country with which we have a free trade agreement," said Zeybekci, arguing that trade with Israel should be evaluated separately.

Yeni Şafak columnist İsmail Kılıçarslan, reacting to Zeybekci's words, had stated: "Throughout the Gaza process, I have not heard a more idiotic, a more moronic statement than this. He says 'of course' for a genocide. Shame on you. Damn it."

Zeybekci's response to Kılıçarslan's 'idiot' and 'moron' outburst was not delayed.

In a post on his social media account, Zeybekci responded to Yeni Şafak columnist İsmail Kılıçarslan's words without naming him directly:

"You are as much of an idiot as you call your interlocutor, and as much of a moron as you call them a moron. Whatever you deem them worthy of, you are at least as worthy of it yourself. 'The splendor and glory of the mind is kindness and grace.' Regards."
