Özer, who was removed from office due to the City Consensus investigation, paid a visit to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

In a statement made on his social media account, Özer used the following expressions:

"I had a very valuable meeting with Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, where we evaluated the peace process we are going through in all its aspects.

We will continue to work with all our might, aware of the responsibility that falls upon us for the realization of an honorable and lasting peace, and for the revival of justice and democracy with all their institutions and rules."

Bahçeli had previously made a call for "the Ahmets to take duty," referring to Ahmet Türk and Özer.
