In an incident that took place in the Ulus neighborhood of Beşiktaş, an individual walking on the street called a cat over and then kicked it, causing injury. While the cat was thrown by the force of the blow and harmed, the attacker continued on his way. The moment of the incident was captured by the security camera of a nearby residential complex.

POLICE TEAMS TOOK ACTION

Acting upon a report, teams from the Environmental, Nature and Animal Protection Bureau of the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Security Branch launched a comprehensive investigation to apprehend the suspect. Examining the camera footage, the teams determined that the attacker got off the bus he boarded after the incident in Harbiye.

ATTACKER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Police teams determined that the attacker was working at a construction site and took the suspect, Salih G., into custody. The suspect was taken to the police station to provide a statement, and it was learned that the incident had sparked a major public outcry.

In the security camera footage, the moments when the attacker called the cat over and then kicked it, causing the animal to be thrown in pain, were clearly visible.
