He had resigned from his post in the MHP: 'Serdar Sertçelik' allegation regarding İzzet Ulvi Yönter

A striking allegation has been made regarding İzzet Ulvi Yönter, who resigned from his position as MHP Deputy Chairman.

T24 columnist Tolga Şardan claimed that the name of the MHP member Yönter appeared in messages on a mobile phone allegedly belonging to Serdar Sertçelik, who is currently detained in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case.

In his column, Şardan shared the claim: 'It was observed that the name of the MHP member Yönter also appeared in messages obtained during the examination of a mobile phone allegedly belonging to Serdar Sertçelik, who is still in detention.'

'Another noteworthy topic of the past week was the resignation of MHP's İzzet Ulvi Yönter from his post as deputy chairman of his party.

Following the resignation, there were quite active hours within the MHP camp. The excitement seems likely to continue in the coming days. The prevailing view is that the waters in the party will not calm down easily.

Among the events that have taken place, one of the most curious questions is why Yönter resigned from his post in the party administration.

There are, of course, different assessments.

However, the most well-known one is the allegation that his name was mentioned in the chain of events centered around Ayhan Bora Kaplan, one of the prominent figures of Ankara's underworld.

This allegation was also brought to the agenda in Büyüteç last week. It was observed that the name of the MHP member Yönter also appeared in messages obtained during the examination of a mobile phone allegedly belonging to Serdar Sertçelik, who is still in detention.

According to the allegation that came to the fore following these developments, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, has completed the file. Again, according to claims circulating in the lobbies, work was carried out to prepare a summary of proceedings (fezleke) regarding Yönter and send it to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). It is also claimed that the name of MHP member Necmi Yıldırım appears in the same file alongside Yönter.

Before writing this Büyüteç column, I attempted to contact Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Karaköse by phone to ask about these allegations. There was no response from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to the interview request by the time Büyüteç was published.

Perhaps if a direct statement is made to the public, the process and allegations regarding Yönter could be understood more clearly.'
