A verdict has been reached in the annulment lawsuit filed by Batuhan Gazi Kılıç, one of the 5 lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces for crossing swords and reciting the Officer's Oath, as well as chanting "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" following their graduation ceremony. Batuhan Gazi Kılıç, one of the lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces on the grounds of "indiscipline," had sought legal recourse to have the action taken against him annulled.

Kılıç had filed a lawsuit requesting the revocation of the dismissal decision issued following the events that took place after the graduation ceremony.

The process in question began with the images that emerged after the official part of the graduation ceremony had concluded.

The 5 dismissed lieutenants had crossed their swords after the ceremony, recited the Officer's Oath, and used the phrase "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal."

Following these images, a disciplinary process was initiated against them, and as a result of the investigation conducted, it was decided to dismiss the lieutenants from the Turkish Armed Forces.

UNANIMOUS REJECTION BY THE COURT

The court has announced its verdict in the annulment lawsuit filed by Batuhan Gazi Kılıç.

According to the report by journalist and 12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız, the court panel unanimously rejected the request for the annulment of the dismissal. Thus, the application claiming that the dismissal decision issued against Kılıç was unlawful was not accepted.
