According to the report by İsmail Arı from BirGün; a lawsuit was filed against Mehmet Ölmez at the Seydişehir Criminal Court of First Instance for the crime of "sexual harassment by taking advantage of the convenience provided by a public office."
Although Ölmez denied the accusations in court, M.D.'s daughter also testified that she witnessed the harassment. The witnesses who were heard also stated that "Mehmet Ölmez offered money to the woman he harassed so that she would not file a complaint."
On November 15, 2023, the court sentenced Ölmez to a judicial fine of only 5,400 TL for the crime of "sexual harassment" committed twice, and deferred the announcement of the verdict.
IT WAS NOT A MISUNDERSTANDING

It was revealed that the investigation conducted by Yavuz Ünüvar was closed with the statement that "the incident consisted of a misunderstanding."
HE PAID 23 THOUSAND LIRA
The victim's lawyer and CHP council member Hikmet Balcı said, "The defendant paid the woman 25 thousand TL so that the incident would be closed, and this is among the evidence reflected in the criminal file." He also shared the information that "the administrative investigation conducted regarding the incident against the defendant was closed in some way, and as a result of the objection made to the decision of non-prosecution given in the judicial investigation, a lawsuit was filed and the defendant was punished."
