The incident took place on January 29 in the Esenevler neighborhood of the Yıldırım district. Turgay Kındaç sent a message to the sister of his wife, Seher Kındaç, whom he was in the process of divorcing, saying, "You cannot take Seher away from me; I killed her. Send police and an ambulance to the house, I am not joking." Upon seeing the message, her sister notified the couple's son, Hüseyin Kındaç. Hüseyin Kındaç, who arrived at the house, found his mother in the kitchen covered in blood and notified the police and medical teams. The arriving medical team determined that the mother of two had lost her life.

Teams from the Bursa Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch Murder Bureau apprehended Turgay Kındaç, who had fled after the incident, one day after the murder and took him into custody.

Confessing to the crime in his statement at the police station, Kındaç stated that he committed the murder due to jealousy, saying, "On the last day of 2023, there was a morale-boosting night organized by the factory at my wife's workplace. That evening, my wife had taken a photo with someone named M. and shared it on social media. We had been arguing about this for about a month. On the morning of the incident, an argument broke out between us again. I hit my wife on the head with a rolling pin, and then I strangled her. However, I don't remember what I strangled her with." Kındaç was arrested after his procedures at the police station and the courthouse.

In the indictment prepared at the end of the investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the victim's autopsy report was also included. It was stated that Seher Kındaç was strangled to death with a rope after being hit on the head with a rolling pin, and that there were hemorrhagic fractures in her jaw and throat area.

The detained suspect, who confessed to his crime, faces a request for an aggravated life sentence for the crime of 'Intentional killing against a spouse.' After killing his wife, the suspect, who took her mobile phone and credit card, also faces up to 15 years in prison for the crimes of 'Qualified robbery' and 'Gaining benefit by unauthorized use of another's bank or credit card' on the grounds that he withdrew money from the card and sold the mobile phone.

While Kındaç's mobile phone search records were entered into the case file, Kındaç, who appeared before a judge for the first time at the hearing at the Bursa 1st High Criminal Court, began his defense by apologizing to his 2 sons in the courtroom.

STRANGLED WITH A CLOTH

Stating that he loved his wife very much and killed her due to jealousy, Kındaç said, "She had sent a photo and a heart to a friend named M. from her workplace. I experienced jealousy. Thinking she was having an affair with him, I checked her phone. I was prepared to accept these. To prove my love for her, I drank bleach and ate rat poison on the day of the incident. While we continued to argue, my wife used provocative, inciting sentences towards me. When I saw the white cloth on the teapot in the kitchen, I laid Seher on the floor and strangled her to death with the cloth. I didn't deserve these."

The court panel, which accepted the lawyer's request for additional time, ruled for the continuation of the suspect's detention and adjourned the hearing.
